To make these cute puppets you will definitely need a glue gun (glue sticks come with it).We were on vacation and tried a school glue product which DID NOT WORK; pieces would not adhere to other felt pieces using the Elmer’s Glue.

At first I thought my kit only came with half the parts. They are stuck together , pull them apart .

This is a super fun activity to do with your kids. There are a ton of different pieces and parts you can use to really make your puppet unique. The glue dots that come with this though, are worthless. Definitely use a hot glue gun. The glue dots would be ok if you wanted the pieces to be reusable I guess. But the rest is nice quality felt, in lots of shapes and colors.

My granddaughter enjoys assembling these puppets but finds them to “hard” to open and close the mouth of. The fabric is very stiff and the provided “dots” don’t adhere well. We find we have to use craft glue and let it dry well before actually using the puppet if we want the pieces to stay in place.

This kit was just what I needed when I was sitting for my little 6 year old niece. I loved the box, which she took home with all of the extra parts. The fact that the pieces are pre-cut made it much less messy and we were instantly able to start putting together our animals! She enjoyed the examples, but others may like to just wing it. Plenty of parts to do either. I highly recommend this kit. I do suggest some strong glue. Maybe a glue gun used by an adult? I bought good craft glue but our larger parts were kind of falling off. Other than my glue issue, this kit was really awesome!

So many accessories to make a puppet but not enough sleeves for the puppet itself. Yes it does go give you the option to use tape instead of glue but the tape doesnβt stick. Definitely needs more sleeves for all the puppet options .

I got this for my niece and nephew which they are 4 and 6yro. The package has lots of pieces to decorate mutten like puppet bases. The colors and textures and shapes are amazing BUT glue selection was not really user friendly for kids. They add one big stick of silicone (without the gun obv) but you cannot use hot glue gun when kids around. And they put lots of sticker glue dots which worked awesome but not for small kids so you need to separate the glue dots and put on mitten puppets where the kid stick whatever they want to stick. We tried white glue but it just makes the felt wet no use. There must be a different glue alternative if you want kids to play and create their own puppets otherwise it would be too frustrating. Of course if this would be a gift for an 8 yro it would be ok I guess, but younger than that age will need assistance. Once you made funky puppets itβs a lot of fun and kids actually go crazy about them.

The puppet part is extremely stiff. Decent activity although the pieces wound up just becoming scattered around the house.
