We bought this theater unit to use with our 5 and 2.5 year old grandchildren when they come to visit. We liked the arrangement where the theater can be hung in a doorway, allowing for multiple locations and easy set-up and removal. This has worked very well, and the tension bar at the top is even adjustable to some extent for variable door widths, which as I recall was not emphasized in the product description. The theater is well-made and layout is well designed and colorful, an interesting, almost exotic architectural format. The features with the peak-hole opening at the top and plastic window for a sign at the bottom are great, as well as the tie-back curtains. It really provides a theater experience. We printed a sign with graphics and placed it in the window below, customizing the theater with a name that was meaningful to our grandkids. The only minor drawback was that, given the young age of our grandson and granddaughter, when they put on a show with the theater base just touching the floor the height of the stage was a bit high especially for the 2.5 year old. We addressed this by hanging the stage lower, not a big deal obviously. Our grandkids absolutely love the theater and the puppets, both having grandpa (whose has never done puppetry before) do shows or playing with the puppets themselves. What a great alternative to videos and noisy motorized toys! We are looking forward to many hours of fun with this theater.

We purchased this for my 3 year old and I just love it. The tension rod could be a little better – it can get knocked down pretty easily if you’re not careful – but overall it’s a great product. We live in a townhouse so we don’t have space for a playroom or bulky pretend play items. This rolls up for simple storage and can make any doorway a theater. I recommended this to some friends and honestly to anyone. Great value for the price!

It is very nice fabric. The issue is the tension rod. It wonβt hold up the curtain. I should not have to purchase something to keep the rod attached to the door frame.

I have wide doorways so I had to purchase a spring operated curtain hangar to fit my toy room doorway. The fabric is colorful and fun but the proportion of the openings are way too high for the toddlers so they end up sitting in front craning their necks to see. They look uncomfortable. There is no doubt it is way overpriced for what you receive and it should be priced around $30 not $50. It does not adequately take the place of a traditional free-standing puppet theatre as it is always moving in response to the air conditioner or the ceiling fans. It is more for a adult to use that for the kids to interact with their own play. For this reason I don’t recommend. I am going to keep it because I don’t want to have dedicated space for a wooden one but if I did I would recommend one my neighbor has from Melissa & Doug. It is sturdy and “hides” the puppeteer much better.

This puppet theater curtain is well made and so cute. Its colors are lovely. The only issue is that it is not long enough, so the legs of whoever performing will be shown.

The hanging theatre is perfect for a small home as it folds away compactly. The tension rod works great! This item is pretty expensive considering the cost of the cloth used but it is very appealing to a child.
