First impressions: This is another adorable Folkmanis puppet. This honey bee is the smallest Folkmanis puppet I have purchased. He is light weight and well made. His fur is nice but not super soft.Packaging: He came well packaged, but his wings did get a bit smooshed and crinkled. I have had him out for several days and they have not gone back into place. I am hoping to use a flat iron and reset them.Glove: The glove that comes with this bee allows you to move not his mouth, but his legs. It is child size. I have a small adult size hand and the bottom half of my palm hung out of it. I simply purchased a formal set of black gloves for about $5 and had my local seamstress replace the glove. We took one finger off of the second glove and put it on the first one with a little cotton stuffed inside so the bee could still have all six legs. the gloves are a little shiny and I think I like it even better. It is really adorable.

I got this as a surprise for my daughter after also purchasing the book, βThe life and times of the Honeybeeβ. She loved it so much. I honestly didnβt think she would end up liking this new puppet that much, but was shocked that she ended up saying it will now be one of her favorite toys. She also has the baby Dutch bunny puppet and loves that bunny as well! Iβm grateful I have introduced Folkmanis puppets to my daughter and myself! Would recommend especially if you have a bee book along with the honeybee puppet and want to use it for educational purposes. No matter what my daughter loves this bee and Iβm really happy with this purchase Iβm an adult maybe my hands are too small because I can fit this puppet on my hands itβs a little tight but I can still manipulate this puppet.

Some of the negative reviews made me a little nervous, but this puppet was too cute to resist & the price was reasonable. (And Iβve never had trouble with an Amazon return.)I do not regret the purchase! The puppet wasnβt crumpled or defective in any way – itβs so cute! Yes, the glove is small, but I donβt think they intend the full adult hand to fit in it. Four of my fingers fit easily into the four front βlegsβ. (I didnβt try to stuff in my whole hand, palm, thumb and all.) That enabled me to make the bee look like he was moving. Roll up some fabric scraps to stuff the other two legs so they donβt dangle limply and it should be perfect. And the small size of the glove should work well for my granddaughter, probably using all five fingers and more, if not all, of her hand. I ordered the Kirsten Hall storybook, βThe Honeybeeβ to go with it. Now I canβt wait for Christmas to give them both!

This is an adorable bee finger puppet. It’s eyes are huge and cute. But why does it have six finger holes instead of five? My teenager and I were playing around with it before gifting it to the toddlers and I was making fun of her because she couldn’t figure out how to get her fingers into the glove properly. Turns out it actually does have six fingers, once we stopped struggling and counted them. We had a good laugh over that. Anyway, it’s otherwise a fun puppet and nice quality.

My granddaughter received this for her third birthday. It was a hit. She calls it Buzz. She put it on her hand and went up to folks saying, “Sting, sting!”
