Item does not come with USB base adapter to plug it in, does come with cord. Not just any base adapter will work as each one lets out different volts and watts, to much will melt, an fry the unit.

Bought this for one of my kids for Christmas after they had me plug it in it worked just fine until a week went by and it quit working. It will turn on for a few seconds then shut off. I am very disappointed with this light.
